Knop of Sutton Hoo spoon

This was made by putting apiece of 4mm round silver wire into the jaws of my drill, clamping the drill into a bench vice, and applying, first, a hacksaw to the rotating silver, to mark out the bands of beading at each end, and then a series of files to shape the rest.
